When we avoid our own hurt, we project it on others

When we avoid our hurt, we project it on others

When you don’t heal your wounds you bleed them out on those around you. Usually those close by, those you love most.

It’s easy to wear a mask to hide your wounds and the bloody influence they have to the outside world, but not with those closest, because they know you, they see you all the way through whether you like it or not.

Hurting those we love most and pushing them away is traumas ironic twist of fate – manifesting the exact opposite of what we (our true selves) want.

So it becomes quite simple – own it? Heal it.

(Why wouldn’t you when you know it harms you and those you love?)
