“It’s Better To Ask For Forgiveness Than Permission”

We’ve all heard this right? It’s often misunderstood…

“It’s better to ask for forgiveness than permission” is about decisiveness – The will to expose ourselves and accept any outcome, believing wholeheartedly that what we’re doing (or about to) is the *right* thing to do.

This doesn’t mean being irresponsible, immoral, carefree or selfish, it isn’t about self-interest guided by ego. That *will* is actually selfless, fuelled by good intention, because it’s grounded in our core values – which include respect and consideration for others – an action of the heart, not the head.

It’s about having confidence that actually, forgiveness is something we won’t need to ask for, and others won’t need to give, because following our actions, the result of our decisiveness will speak for itself…

…our good intentions, care and love will become apparent.
