We all have our instincts that drive a lot of our thoughts and decision making, the trap we can easily fall into is assuming shit when really we should be communicating and asking questions in order to learn and understand.

Unlike our emotional intelligence, assumptions are purely based on us – our perspective of self, our survival mechanisms, subconscious, past experiences, unconscious biases, insecurities, fears etc etc – hence why assumptions are the mother of all fuck ups – we don’t know everything, and never will.

It’s something we can all do unconsciously sometimes, but here’s a Monster tip – pause, get over yourself, be mindful, don’t judge, don’t assume – ask questions. It can save a lot shit and *time* – which is the most precious commodity we have.
